There was a thunderstorm the other night. The temperature got up to 80F so of course it would rain. When I saw the lightning outside I knew I wanted to get a picture of it. I quickly ran upstairs and grabbed my phone sized tripod. I hurried outside and set up my mini tripod on the front porch railing. As I was getting it set up, quite a few passers-by slowed down to watch me. I’m sure I looked ridiculous kneeling down, phone as a camera, pointing it at seemingly nothing and pressing the screen over and over. I had to run inside because I ran out of room on my phone so I needed to delete some apps for space. Maybe 2 min after I ran inside, it started pouring so I had to improvise and set up the tripod on the living room side table and point out the window. I spent nearly 20 min and took probably about 200 photos just to get this one shot. Since it was taken with my phone, it’s a bit grainy but it’s the best lightning photo I will ever take.
