Winter is here and we’re all hiding inside until the sun comes back out. I wanted to share some places I’ve been frequenting lately that I thought you might want to check out. Here are my Minneapolis Favorites:
La Doña Cerveceria

A new brewery in Minneapolis that’s totally worth a visit. They are For-Benefit corporation, meaning their mission is to make a positive impact on the community. Their mission of celebrating Latino culture really comes through in their decor. The space is really brightly colored and fun.

Keg & Case Market

An indoor market in St. Paul. They have everything from arts & crafts vendors, to a brewery on the second floor. I recommend walking around all of the booths and seeing what they have to offer. Then you should get yourself some smoked meats from Revival, and then head upstairs to enjoy your lunch with a pint of beer.

Centro

It’s hard to believe this place has only been open since June. I’ve eaten here a lot. Smaller, authentic street tacos. All varieties are delicious but the pescado (fish) tacos are my absolute fav. Enjoy with a side of chips & guac for an even better experience. The staff is so friendly, and the service is quick, even when they’re busy. Plus the decor is bright and cozy. It really warms you up on a cold winter day.
Electric Noodle Food Truck

Ever since my favorite food truck closed (RIP Curious Goat), I’ve been on the hunt for a replacement. Electric Noodle is certainly a top contender right now. They serve “mazemen” style ramen, which is basically a more dense noodle style and there is less broth than the ramen I’m used to. The toppings are so flavorful and delicious! Find them at various NE breweries. Check out their Facebook page for a full calendar.
Holiday Markets

Many of the breweries around here host holiday markets featuring local artists and makers. It’s so much fun to walk around, sipping on a craft beer, and shopping for those Christmas gifts. There are a lot of different markets out there. You can check at your favorite brewery to see if they have anything coming up. I’ve also had good luck at Minneapolis Craft Markets. Head on over to their website for a list of events.

Hope you enjoyed my Minneapolis favorites. What are your favorites in your city? Let me know in the comments below.
